They are looking for a experienced Legal Professional with extensive knowledge across Medico Legal to help grow and support their advisory division as well as drive change management operationally. This Leadership role is an opportunity to utilise your leadership experience and knowledge within Medical Negligence + Indemnity and manage a high performing team.
The leader can be based across any of their offices across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and hybrid flexible working arrangements are available.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the Medico Advisory team, providing day-to-day guidance, mentoring and support while fostering ongoing capability development and professional growth.
• Manage complex or escalated member enquiries, providing secondary support and working closely with medical and dental advisors to ensure timely and effective outcomes.
• Partner with Claims teams and external stakeholders to deliver a seamless, member-focused service experience aligned with organisational standards and risk frameworks.
• Provide meaningful reporting, trends and operational insights to senior leadership to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements that enhance member outcomes and operational performance.
Skills and Experience:
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing professional teams within advisory, insurance, claims or related service environments.
• Medico Legal background and qualifications preferred.
• Recognised technical expert, providing guidance and support on complex matters, escalations and high-risk cases.
• Strong background managing sensitive claims, legal or medico-legal matters with a focus on delivering exceptional member or client outcomes.
• Proven ability to manage conflict and resolve challenging situations with professionalism, sound judgement and confidence.
• Highly developed communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility across all levels internally and externally.
• Demonstrated experience leading internal change initiatives and contributing to pilots or transformation projects focused on driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
