HAYLO People are partnering with a respected workers compensation government organisation to recruit a Team Leader within Claims Management. This is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced personal injury, workers compensation or insurance leader who enjoys coaching teams, building strong stakeholder relationships and driving better claims and return to work outcomes.

About the role As Team Leader, you will lead an industry-aligned Claims Management team, supporting team performance, customer relationships and positive return to work outcomes.
Based in the Brisbane CBD office, this role offers a hybrid working arrangement with half in the office and half working from home. You will provide guidance across workers compensation claims management, escalations and continuous improvement initiatives, while building strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
What you’ll be doing - Lead, coach and mentor a Claims Management team to deliver against performance indicators and business objectives.
- Manage relationships with a portfolio of industry-aligned customers and build trusted partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and support on claims management, escalations and customer feedback.
- Use data, insights and observations to identify trends and improve claim costs, durations and outcomes.
- Champion early rehabilitation, return to work outcomes and a collaborative, customer-led team approach.
- Contribute as a collaborative member of the leadership team, sharing knowledge and supporting broader business initiatives.
What we’re looking for - Experience in an insurance environment and/or personal injury claims.
- Strong knowledge of claims and premium legislation, with the ability to apply this in practical business situations.
- Proven leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring and creating a team culture where people can grow.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with customers, providers and internal teams.
- Experience leading through change and supporting teams to deliver sustainable outcomes.
- Strong planning, communication, presentation and decision-making capability.
