HAYLO People are experts in Personal Injury, Safety and General Insurance recruitment. We have partnered with an international legal firm seeking an experienced claims professional to join their team in Sydney CBD or Melbourne CBD.
  
This is an opportunity to manage a portfolio of sensitive and complex claim and work closely with a team of legally qualified professionals. You will use your extensive experience within this space to support the claims process and manage the claims including, mediation, facilitation, and negotiations.

The Role:
  • Manage a portfolio of sensitive and complex historical claims from initial assessment through to resolution.
  • Assess liability, policy coverage and financial exposure, developing appropriate strategies for claim resolution.
  • Liaise with insurers, claimants, legal representatives, brokers and other stakeholders throughout the claims process.
  • Review claims, establish appropriate reserves and assess settlement and recovery opportunities.
  • Manage settlement negotiations and work collaboratively with relevant parties to achieve commercially sound outcomes.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates and recommendations on claims strategy.
  • Identify opportunities for early intervention and effective claims management to minimise costs and improve outcomes.

About You:
  • Experience managing complex claims, ideally within a professional indemnity or similar insurance claims environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess liability, policy coverage and financial exposure.
  • Confident managing sensitive matters and negotiating with a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines and manage a portfolio of files.
  • Commercially minded, proactive and focused on achieving positive claims outcomes.
