SME Underwriter

HAYLO People are specialists in General Insurance and Personal Injury Recruitment. We're partnered with a market leading agency who are seeking an underwriter to join their team. 

Embark on a new adventure in the insurance industry and join a well known with this new SME Underwriting role. The Underwriter is responsible for assessing submissions and making underwriting decisions across a defined product portfolio within established guidelines, appetite and delegated authority levels. 
 
This is a permanent full-time role based in Sydney.   
 
As an Underwriter, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• To develop and underwrite new business and renewal retention
• Manage client relationships
• Increase company's market share through building new and existing relationships
• Apply appropriate pricing, terms and conditions and coverage structures in accordance with sound underwriting principals.
• Be able to effectively promote the company and products to the broker market
• Attend industry events on behalf of the business
