Employment Practices Specialist to join their team in Sydney.
This is a great opportunity for an
Employment Legal Specialist looking to take their legal expertise into a more advisory and technical environment. You won't be responsible for managing a dedicated claims portfolio. Instead, you'll work closely with Case Managers and government agencies, providing technical advice, reviewing decisions and strategies, and providing oversight on complex employment-related matters.
The role will suit someone who enjoys applying their employment law knowledge in a practical environment, working with stakeholders, providing guidance to claims teams and helping build capability across the organisation.
Your core responsibilities will be: - Provide technical advice and guidance on complex employment-related matters.
- Review and provide input into coverage, liability and resolution strategies.
- Act as a key technical referral point for complex or sensitive matters.
- Work closely with Case Managers to support sound and defensible decision-making.
- Advise government agencies on employment legislation, obligations and available cover.
- Support early resolution, negotiation and dispute resolution strategies.
- Build capability through coaching, training and knowledge sharing.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, decision-making and claims handling.
Skills and experience: We're looking for someone with
strong Employment / Workplace Relations law experience, ideally at Associate or Senior Associate level. Experience advising on complex employment disputes, government or large institutional environments, and an interest in moving into a technical/advisory claims environment would be highly regarded.
Why you'll love this role: - up to $130,000 - $140,000 + Super, experience depending.
