We are seeking an experienced a Claims Advisor to join one of Australia's most trusted and well-known organisations in a supportive and forward-thinking team. Manage a small portfolio of 20/ 30 claims with a focus on proactive case management within this worker’s compensation team. Managing end to end claims, with a mixture of front, tail and long tail claims.
This is a 3 month contract full-time role, with the office located in Brisbane, close to the CBD but you can enjoy the flexibility of hybrid working, with 3 days working at home. In this role, you will become a key team member supporting the self-insurance claims team with an emphasised focus on stakeholder management and building relationships within the business, and building strong structured relationships where you can see the impact you have on the business.
The Role: - Manage an allocated claims portfolio within QLD legislative, self-insurance, and business requirements to reduce outstanding liabilities and achieve cost effective RTW (return to work) outcomes.
- Engage with key stakeholders to bring about understanding, involvement, and continuous improvement in claims management.
- Identify, escalate, and manage high risk and business sensitive claims in accordance with the relevant state process.
- Conduct timely and appropriate case reviews with stakeholders to ensure individual case strategies are developed, communicated, and achieved.
- Support in coaching and mentoring the team.
About You: - Current experience Managing end to end claims portfolio in accordance with the Queensland (Qld) Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003
- Ideally the experience you will bring is from Self Insurance / Insurer, Claims Management in QLD Scheme
- Confidence and influencing skills and comfortable making decisions and problem-solving.
- Collaborative stakeholder management skills and enjoy regular interactions both internally and externally.
- Enjoyment of coaching and mentoring others.
