Self Insurance Claims Advisor

HAYLO People are experts in Personal Injury, Safety and General Insurance recruitment. We have partnered with a long standing and highly recommended Self Insured brand who are seeking an experienced Workers Compensation Case Manager to join their team and based from South East Brisbane.

• See the impact of your work & work closely in a Self Insurance team for a leading Australian brand. 
• Manage a fast paced portfolio of end to end QLD Workers Compensation Claims with the support of inspiring, knowledgable and dedicated leadership.
• Manage approximately 45 claims and gain national experience.

This is a 6 month contract full-time or part-time role, based in South East Brisbane with free parking and offers flexibility and hybrid working with up to 2 days working from home. In this role, you will become a key team member working with an experienced team and who value loyalty.

The Role:

• Manage an allocated claims portfolio within QLD legislative, self-insurance, and business requirements to reduce outstanding liabilities and achieve cost effective RTW (return to work) outcomes.
• Engage with key stakeholders to bring about understanding, involvement, and continuous improvement in claims management. 
• Identify, escalate, and manage high risk and business sensitive claims in accordance with the relevant state process.     
• Conduct timely and appropriate case reviews with stakeholders to ensure individual case strategies are developed, communicated, and achieved.

About You:

• Have strong existing experience in managing end to end claims within worker’s compensation in adherence to QLD legislation.
• A commercially minded yet empathetic, professional with a sound understanding of strategic case management.
• Confidence and influencing skills and comfortable making decisions and problem-solving.
• Collaborative stakeholder management skills and enjoy regular interactions both internally and externally.
