Haylo People are partnering with a leading national transport and logistics organisation to recruit an experienced Safety Specialist for a 12-month fixed-term opportunity with the view of going permanent based in Wodonga.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a safety-focused business where you'll work closely with operational leaders to strengthen safety systems, ensure compliance and drive a positive safety culture across the organisation.
The Role:
Providing safety leadership, coaching and support across the business.
Supporting the ongoing development of the WHS Management System.
Leading incident investigations, corrective actions and risk management.
Managing HVNL and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance and assurance.
Coordinating audits and supporting ISO 45001 and regulatory requirements.
Analysing safety data and reporting on trends and improvement opportunities.
Working closely with operational teams to implement practical safety controls.
About You:
Experience in a safety role within transport, logistics, heavy vehicles or fleet operations.
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, HVNL and Chain of Responsibility.
Experience across incident investigations, risk management, audits and safety systems.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to influence leaders and frontline teams to drive positive safety outcomes.
Diploma or higher qualification in WHS, Safety or a related discipline preferred.
Current Australian Driver Licence.
Benefits:
Up to $130,000 + Super (DOE) + Car allowance.
