HAYLO People are experts in General Insurance and Personal Injury recruitment. Our client is currently seeking two Assistant Account Executives to join a growing insurance brokerage based in Brisbane CBD. 

This is a great opportunity for someone with commercial insurance experience who is looking to build a long-term career in broking. You will be joining a supportive and social team, working closely within a small pod alongside a Senior Account Manager and Senior Account Executive.

The successful candidate MUST hold either Tier 1 or Tier 2 insurance qualifications and have a genuine interest in progressing within the broking space. This role offers a clear pathway into a Broker position within 12–18 months, with ongoing training, mentorship and development opportunities across the business.

The role:
  • Support the full broking process across a commercial portfolio
  • Assist with renewals, endorsements and policy documentation
  • Process certificates of currency and general insurance documents
  • Provide client support and respond to insurance enquiries
  • Liaise with insurers, underwriters and internal stakeholders
  • Support with general broker administration and portfolio management
About you:
  • Must hold Tier 1 or Tier 2 insurance qualifications
  • Previous experience in commercial insurance is required
  • Experience as a Broker Assistant, Assistant Account Executive, Insurance Assistant or similar
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation accurately
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to build relationships
  • Proactive, eager to learn and interested in growing within broking long-term
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative, social and team-focused environment
