HAYLO People are experts in General Insurance recruitment. Currently, we are seeking an Account Executive – SME & Mid-Market to join a well-established brokerage in Brisbane.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a minimum of two years' experience in an account executive capacity, managing SME and mid-market portfolios. The role focuses on nurturing existing relationships and organically growing the book, perfect for someone who thrives in a “farm and grow” environment rather than cold business development.

  • Competitive salary: $90k to $115k + super
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (with additional flexibility where required, e.g. for carers or parents)
The role:
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of SME and mid-market clients
  • Provide end-to-end account management including servicing, renewals, and policy amendments
  • Collaborate with internal teams and underwriters to deliver tailored insurance solutions
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and colleagues
  • Identify opportunities for organic growth within the existing book
About you:
  • Hold a Tier 1 insurance qualification
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar account executive role
  • Strong understanding of SME and mid-market commercial insurance lines
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Organised, proactive, and committed to delivering outstanding client service
  • A team player who enjoys contributing to a positive workplace culture
