Senior Liability Underwriter

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a broker-facing underwriting role with genuine portfolio ownership, working across a diverse range of liability risks including complex and non-standard placements.
You will be joining a high-performing, collaborative team with strong backing and a clear growth strategy in the Australian market.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Melbourne, or Sydney.   
 
The Role:

• Underwrite new business and renewals across liability lines (public and products liability)
• Assess risk, determine pricing, and apply appropriate terms and conditions
• Structure solutions for complex or specialty risks
• Manage and grow a profitable portfolio
• Attending market events on behalf of the company
• Promote the company and its products effectively to the broker market
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key broker partners

About you:

• 5 years' Liability Underwriting experience preferred
• Experienced in delivering professional client experiences and enjoy working towards new business opportunities
• Ability to build and grow new and existing relationships with both internal colleagues and external business partners
• Following and interpreting company underwriting guidelines
• A determination to strive for a profitable and balanced portfolio
